Policies


We hate to have them but it's part of doing business.  Here are our policies regarding, returns, damage, and shipping.

 

 

Processing & Shipping


We ship via the UPS Ground and USPS Priority Mail. Please allow one week for us to process your order once payment has cleared. 
 

Customer Pickups


You may pick up your order at my home in Grand Haven, Michigan.  This option is available on Saturday and Sunday mornings only at pre-scheduled times.  I am not available during the week for pickups due to work and a very busy schedule.  

 

Please remember that I am waiting for you to arrive.  As a general rule, if you are more than 10 minutes late, I will go on with my day and assume you have canceled your appointment. 

 

Thank you for understanding that I am "moving and shaking" 24-7!

Damage & Returns


Defective Products: 

 

Defective products are very rare...once every couple of years.  We will happily replace any defective products. A product will be considered defective if all burning instructions are followed (i.e. length of burn time, proper wick trimming, etc - see labels) and the product does not burn properly. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that candles are burned all the way across each time they are used which can take six hours with our regular line of jars. If you require a shorter burn time, we recommend tea lights. Candle toppers also help candles burn across faster. 
 
Damage During Shipping: 

 

We spend a great deal of time and money to package your products for safe arrival.  Therefore, we are not responsible for damage in shipping.  ~However, if you choose to ship via UPS, insurance is included and you can file a claim with us for replacement.  In addition, if you prefer the USPS, you can pay additional money for insurance so that your purchase is covered.~

 

Summer Shipping:

 

During the summer or if you are in a warmer state, please be sure you are available for delivery of your candles. 

 

Soy does melt in warm temperatures and sunlight.  While we do put labels on the packages to keep them out of heat and sunlight, the carriers just can't resist doing it anyway!

 

If your candles have had some melting during shipment, you can simply clean them off with warm water and/or use a heat gun on the tops.  Melting is only a cosmetic issue and does not affect the quality of the candle.  Therefore, because we can not control the weather and shipping carriers and the issue is only cosmetic, we do not do replacements due to melting.
